Where is Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach?
Amelia Island is the northernmost barrier island On Florida’s Atlantic coast. The Island is located just 15 miles east of Interstate 95 by car, using exit# 373. Vacationers may also reach Amelia Island by air via the Jacksonville International Airport, which is 30 minutes South of the Island. Private, corporate and charter aircraft may use the facilities at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport, with rental cars available or shuttle service.

The 1990 census recorded a population of approximately 44,000 people of which 1/3 live on Amelia Island.
The annual average mean temperature for the Island is 69.9 degrees.
